Beast Taming: Starting From Zero
Chapter 95: Do you want to have sex for nothing?
The Alliance divides skills into five levels: Low-level, Mid-level, High Level, Super-level, and God-level.
There are obvious differences between the five in terms of energy consumption and power.
Among them, Low-level and Mid-level skills are more common, and many Pets may only use skills of these two levels throughout their lives.
For a Pet to learn skills, besides the corresponding learning manual and its own diligence, the most important thing is its talent.
There’s a saying that goes like this:
Talent determines the upper limit, and effort determines the lower limit.
Sometimes, even with the best resources, if a Pet’s talent is lacking, it won’t be able to evolve to its racial upper limit.
The same applies to learning skills.
Logically speaking, learning High Level skills is something a Pet should only start considering after evolving to the High Level.
Of course, after so many years of development in Yu Beast Master society, there have been cases of Mid-level Pets learning High Level skills.
But such occurrences are definitely recorded in the annals of Pet geniuses.
While Mid-level Pets learning High Level skills has happened, there has never been a single instance of a Low-level Pet learning High Level skills in history.
At least, Qiao Sang has never heard of it.
Looking at the spirited Fire Fang Dog in front of her, Qiao Sang felt a bit troubled.
She was very pleased that Fire Fang Dog was so proactive, but some things couldn’t be achieved by attitude alone.
Although she had witnessed and highly approved of Fire Fang Dog’s talent, some things truly couldn’t be approached with blind confidence.
However, despite her thoughts, Qiao Sang still squatted down, stroked Fire Fang Dog’s head, and smiled, “Okay, I’ll figure something out.”
Discouraging education wouldn’t work.
For a Yu Beast Master and their Pet, working in unison towards a common goal is the correct way to interact.
“But you can’t neglect your usual skill release training,” Qiao Sang continued.
Actually, there was still plenty of time; besides training Fire Fang Dog, she had nothing else to do.
Moreover, Fire Fang Dog saved a lot of time by using its clones to practice skill release.
Even when the f grade energy recovery liquid arrived, training would probably still end within an hour each day.
All that remaining time could be fully utilized for other endeavors.
Of course, effort is one thing, and whether it can be achieved is another.
“Ya!”
Fire Fang Dog’s eyes lit up, and it nodded solemnly, then trotted to the nearby backpack to rummage for milk.
It wanted milk! It wanted to train!
…
6:10 PM.
At the dinner table.
Ye Ranran was vividly recounting her day’s experiences.
“You all don’t know, at that time, all our colleagues’ eyes almost popped out; we went with the mindset of sacrificing ourselves for public duty, but ended up winning effortlessly. Who would have thought the person would be tied up and waiting there?”
“If it weren’t for Qiao Sang still being a child, our Captain Zhang would have probably recruited her directly into our police force.”
Ye Jingwen put down her book and looked at Qiao Sang, exclaiming, “Your observation skills are amazing! Why don’t you become a Trainer in the future?”
Ye Ranran retorted, “With that insight, she should be a police officer.”
Third Uncle, who usually didn’t speak much at the dinner table, said, “A Sang is a promising talent for a Professional Beast Tamer; it would be a shame if she didn’t pursue it.”
Third Aunt came out with steaming dishes and smiled, “Why are you talking about things so far off? At this age, studying well is the most important thing.”
Normally, Qiao Sang would humbly say a few words and subtly change the subject.
But now, her mind was preoccupied with how to help Fire Fang Dog train Mars Rain, so she hadn’t joined the discussion.
“A Sang, how long are you planning to stay here?” Third Uncle suddenly asked.
If this question came from a less familiar relative, it could easily make one feel that the other person was wondering when they would leave, but since it came from Third Uncle, Qiao Sang had no such extra thoughts.
Qiao Sang thought for a moment and said, “I’m not sure. If nothing unexpected happens, I should stay until school starts.”
“In half a month, the town is holding a marathon relay race, with three people per team. I’m still short one person. If you’re interested, I can help you sign up,” Third Uncle said.
Qiao Sang looked at Third Uncle in surprise.
She didn’t expect Third Uncle to be so spry, even participating in a marathon?
Perhaps Qiao Sang’s gaze was too obvious, so Third Uncle added, “It’s a Pet relay race; only Yu Beast Masters with two Pets can participate.”
Qiao Sang: “…”
She had overthought it…
Besides Yu Beast Master battle competitions and the splendid Coordination Competition, this society also had various other types of competitions.
Just like in her previous life, where countries sent athletes to participate in various events in the Summer and Winter Olympics, it was just that now, the participants were all Pets.
“If your team is still short a person then, Third Uncle, just call me,” Qiao Sang said.
She wasn’t averse to participating in such activities.
Fire Fang Dog was fine; it had perseverance, but Little Treasure Hunting Ghost was a genuine child less than a month old; if it were to compete, it would likely be firmly in last place.
“Good.”
Third Uncle responded and then buried his head in his food, not speaking further.
After dinner, Qiao Sang returned to her room, opened her computer, and logged onto Chaobo.
Meanwhile, Fire Fang Dog skillfully turned on the TV, searching for a competition channel to watch; recently, watching battle competitions had become its hobby.
As soon as Qiao Sang logged into her account, she was surprised to find that she had over 110,000 followers.
It had only been two days since her Chaobo was verified; could Song Yuan have bought followers for her?
When she copied and posted Fire Fang Dog’s photo and topic text, she realized she had overthought it.
[Claiming a front row spot]
[Ahhhhh, finally you’re here!]
[Ya Bao is so handsome!]
[Is this the new Yu Beast Master praised by Sha Duo?]
[Is this the new Yu Beast Master praised by Gao Xulu?]
[Winning among F-level Beastmasters with a Fire-type Pet is nothing special; I could do it too]
[You finally posted on Chaobo! I’ve been waiting for two days!]
[Sha Duo said you could participate in the Regional Competition in the future. I’ll follow you now to see if I can witness the rise of a new star]
Most of the comments were directed at Sha Duo and Gao Xulu.
These people probably hadn’t watched the Bai Xin Competition; they just saw the clips of Sha Duo and Gao Xulu praising her and started following her.
Given Sha Duo and Gao Xulu’s popularity, it wasn’t surprising that they helped her gain tens of thousands of followers in an instant.
Qiao Sang read a few comments, then closed Chaobo and opened the forum.
[How can I train Mars Rain?]
Since she had promised Fire Fang Dog, she had to act and find a way.
Eating super invincible perverted spicy chicken wings was definitely not an option.
Eating perverted spicy chicken wings back then was to make the Fire-type energy within Fire Fang Dog active and mobilized.
The essence of the Mars Rain skill is for a Fire-type Pet to launch a condensed Fire-type Energy Ball into the sky, which then explodes in the air, generating a large amount of energy that attacks the target from above.
How to condense this Energy Ball, how to successfully release it in the air, how to control the Energy Ball to explode in the air.
These were all problems to be faced.
The internet truly was a place where a large number of internet-addicted youths gathered; the moment she posted her question, Qiao Sang saw a reply the very next second.
[You want to freeload?]
