Beast Taming: Starting From Zero

Chapter 664: Immunity

Staying in a thorn room was out of the question.

Qiao Sang considered herself still a flesh and blood being.

Although she wanted to get rid of the negative effects of the Bond Evolution sooner, she absolutely would not train and get rid of them in such a painful way!

Qiao Sang decisively refused, “No, it’s too painful.”

“Steel Guard.”

Steel Treasure knew what its Yu Beast Master was thinking.

It called out once, expressing its opinion.

The current pain was only temporary; it was much better than encountering an enemy later and being completely unprepared for the pain.

Qiao Sang said earnestly,

“So, aren’t I here now? Trust me, professional training methods are definitely more reliable than just enduring damage!”

“Steel Guard.”

Steel Treasure pondered for a moment, then nodded, seemingly convinced by its Yu Beast Master.

Qiao Sang secretly breathed a sigh of relief at the sight.

She had finally saved her flesh and blood body…

Just then, a Staff member in uniform walked over:

“Miss Qiao, the Er’ma coach you requested is already waiting in the training room.

Please follow me.”

Qiao Sang stood up and followed behind him.

The two took the elevator to the third floor.

The third floor’s layout was similar to a hotel, with individual training rooms on either side of a red-carpeted hallway.

The soundproofing seemed quite good; not a single sound could be heard… Qiao Sang looked around curiously.

This was her first time visiting such a private training club.

The Staff member knocked on one of the doors.

“Come in,” a voice from inside responded.

The Staff member pushed the door open and entered.

Qiao Sang followed closely behind.

The room was much larger than she had imagined, containing several high-tech body examination devices, as well as various fitness equipment found in a gym.

In the center of the room stood a black-haired woman in a coach’s uniform and a Pet about two meters tall, similar in appearance to a human, mostly yellow all over, with slightly narrowed eyes, hands covered in thorns on the back, and a tile-like protrusion on its head.

Thorned Fist Kid, a Fighting-type High-level Pet, uses its thorny fists to defeat opponents.

When its companion is in danger, it acts as a shield to protect them, making it a loyal Pet… Information about the Pet in front of her flashed through Qiao Sang’s mind.

The Staff member exited the room and quietly closed the door.

“Good evening…” Er’ma looked at the young girl who had entered, smiling as she greeted her.

But when her gaze fell on the bird-like Pet beside her, which seemed familiar, her words suddenly stopped.

This Pet is… Er’ma stood there stunned, then revealed a look of surprise:

“You actually have a Steel Guardian Falcon?”

It felt like people from the First District were much more knowledgeable; when she was in the 19th District, few people recognized Steel Treasure… Qiao Sang smiled and said,

“It only evolved recently.”

Er’ma suppressed the urge to ask more questions, as training was charged by the hour, and some clients were unwilling to waste time on meaningless chatter.

“What aspect do you want to train?” Er’ma asked.

“Defense,” Qiao Sang said.

Er’ma was not surprised.

Yu Beast Masters usually had to battle wild Pets, and although the combat was primarily carried out by the Pets, Yu Beast Masters often inevitably sustained injuries.

Although there were specialized defensive suits on the market, they were not convenient.

It was unknown when wild Pets would appear, so it was impossible to wear a defensive suit 24 hours a day.

Even if a Yu Beast Master received feedback, their attack power could not be compared to that of a Pet.

Therefore, strengthening their own defense to prevent immediate death from an attack and holding out for Healing-type Pets to provide Healing became a training direction for many Yu Beast Masters.

Furthermore, she understood that the Steel Guardian Falcon had undergone Bond Evolution.

Yu Beast Masters with Bond Evolution Pets would experience synchronized pain with their Pet during battles; she had read about this in some Pet data.

“Have you ever tested your immune defense capabilities before?” Er’ma asked.

Why would she test that if nothing was wrong… Qiao Sang shook her head, “No.”

Er’ma patiently explained:

“As a Pet evolves, the Yu Beast Master usually receives feedback, but depending on the Pet’s own attributes and characteristics, the feedback received by the Yu Beast Master is not always consistent.”

“Generally speaking, the evolution of Fighting-type, Steel-type, and Ground-type Pets will enhance the Yu Beast Master’s defense, while some Pets with innate Healing skills and Pets with Healing characteristics will strengthen the Yu Beast Master’s immunity.”

“This feedback is very difficult for the Yu Beast Master to feel themselves unless specifically tested.”

“Only older Yu Beast Masters with poorer physical fitness will experience more noticeable changes from the feedback brought by their Pets.”

“Therefore, when a Pet evolves and the Yu Beast Master receives feedback, most will conduct a comprehensive physical examination immediately to see in which areas they have been strengthened.”

Goodness, this is the first time I’ve heard of this… Qiao Sang felt like she had gained some knowledge.

Actually, it was normal for her not to know; this was a test only wealthy people would undergo, and Qiao Sang’s upbringing did not belong to that social stratum.

However, at this moment, she was unaware of this, only thinking it was a test all Yu Beast Masters would undergo.

Er’ma continued:

“Our training difficulty is adjusted according to a person’s physical fitness, so before training, please first test your immune defense capability.”

Saying that, she walked to one of the specialized testing pods and operated it.

The pod door then opened.

“Just lie down inside,” Er’ma said.

Qiao Sang didn’t waste words, quickly taking off her shoes and lying down.

The pod door slowly closed.

As time passed, specific values appeared on the display screen.

Er’ma’s facial expression, looking at the data on the display screen, lost control, replaced by a dumbfounded, blank stare.

How, how could this immunity be so ridiculously high?

Anyone who had undergone testing knew that low immunity was not a good thing, but high immunity was not necessarily good either; good immunity was in a balanced state.

Excessively high immunity might increase the risk of an individual’s immune system diseases.

However, the tested young girl’s immunity value far exceeded the normal human level, yet her body was incredibly healthy!

This was beyond human limits, reaching a non-human level of immunity!

In other words, it had detached from the human state!

Shouldn’t this kind of situation only appear in Yu Beast Masters who had received multiple feedbacks, at least with a Healing-type General-level Pet?!

Er’ma’s eyes were blank with shock.

She immediately thought of something and looked at the defense value.

Fortunately, this was normal… Er’ma subconsciously breathed a sigh of relief, and she pressed a button nearby.

The pod door opened automatically.

Qiao Sang sat up, putting on her shoes as she asked,

“How did the test turn out?”

Er’ma looked at Qiao Sang with an extremely complex expression:

“Your immunity has reached a non-human level.

To put it this way, even if you were hit by the potent venom of a Poison-type General-level Pet right now, you wouldn’t immediately die from the poison.”

Qiao Sang: “???”
