Beast Taming: Starting From Zero
Chapter 581: Scale moth
“Mu Mu!”
The Mu La Monster struggled desperately.
Xiao Nvhai fearfully moved further behind her mother.
The Mu La Monster sensitively noticed Xiao Nvhai’s movement and instantly quieted down.
“Is this the Mu La Monster you mentioned?” Qiao Sang asked.
“It is,” Mai Ya said with great certainty, “There haven’t been any other Mu La Monsters in our vicinity, and it always has a smell like it came from a garbage dump. I’m sure it’s definitely it!”
Actually, as soon as the Mu La Monster came in, Qiao Sang had smelled an unpleasant odor.
It seems this is the Mu La Monster… Seeing that the mission publisher had already confirmed, Qiao Sang didn’t waste any time and immediately said,
“Since that’s the case, I’ll take this Mu La Monster with me.”
Mai Ya enthusiastically said,
“Have a drink of water before you go!”
She hadn’t expected the young Yu Beast Master in front of her to catch the Mu La Monster before Na Da Peng arrived, which made her overly surprised and eager to immediately pull out her phone to give a five-star review.
“No, thank you,” Qiao Sang refused.
This mission is a bust. There’s still time for the assessment, so I need to quickly go and take on another challenging mission…
Seeing this, Mai Ya didn’t insist. She contentedly stepped forward, pulled open the door, and smiled, “I’ll see you out.”
The Mu La Monster saw the door being opened, realized it was about to be taken away, and once again struggled desperately.
“Mu Mu!”
It cried out, and two bare vines suddenly shot out from the palms of its hands, wrapping around the support rod under the coffee table, looking as if it would rather die than leave.
Steel Treasure, who had been quietly staying by the side, looked at the Mu La Monster with a thoughtful expression.
“Steel Steel.”
Just as Qiao Sang was about to tell Xiao Xunbao to hypnotize the Mu La Monster and take it away, Steel Treasure cried out, indicating that the Mu La Monster seemed to have something to say.
Qiao Sang was stunned for a moment, looked at the Mu La Monster, and asked,
“Do you have something you want to say?”
“Mu Mu…”
The Mu La Monster looked at the unfamiliar human in front of it, first hesitating, then its gaze fell on Xiao Nvhai not far away, as if confirming the relationship between the two.
Xiao Nvhai, seeing the Mu La Monster look at her, was a little scared and wanted to hide behind her mother, but to get to her mother, she had to pass by the Mu La Monster. So, she instinctively hid behind Qiao Sang.
The Mu La Monster’s eyes dimmed at the sight, then its expression became resolute. The vines wrapped around the support rod retracted, changed direction, and swiftly attacked the nearest wall.
Before Qiao Sang could react, several Fly Leaf Knives suddenly struck from outside the door, cutting the vines into several pieces in just a few moves.
Immediately after, a slightly hoarse voice rang out:
“Mai Ya, I told you I could help you. Why did you find another Yu Beast Master?”
Qiao Sang looked in the direction of the voice.
At the doorway appeared a Middle-aged Man who looked around forty, with sunken eyes, an aquiline nose, and thin lips, along with a Pet that was mostly green, had no fingers on its very short arms, and a large, round yellow mouth.
The Middle-aged Man looked at Qiao Sang and smiled, “It’s just a child.”
Mai Ya’s expression darkened: “You are not welcome here. Please leave.”
“If it weren’t for me, your home would have been ruined by this Mu La Monster countless times,” the Middle-aged Man said with a smile, walking in without taking off his shoes, as if entering his own home. He walked freely towards Mai Ya, picked up the cup of milk in her hand, and took a sip.
Just like this, he still wants to poach… Qiao Sang inwardly complained, while outwardly calling out in a questioning tone:
“Na Da Peng?”
“What? You’ve heard of me?” Na Da Peng looked over.
It seems it’s him… Qiao Sang gave Xiao Xunbao a look.
Xiao Xunbao immediately understood.
The Dark Shadow Control binding the Mu La Monster instantly disappeared.
The next second, Xiao Xunbao, with purple light in its eyes, appeared in front of Na Da Peng.
Na Da Peng was startled, his pupils constricted, and before he could blurt out a curse, a strong drowsiness suddenly overwhelmed him.
The yellow-mouthed Pet, seeing that something was wrong, opened its mouth, and just as it was about to gather energy, a scorching fireball hit it with a “boom.”
“Gugu!”
In the sudden burst of light, the yellow-mouthed Pet let out a miserable scream, flying backward like a blur and crashing out the door.
Na Da Peng closed his eyes and fell forward.
Xiao Xunbao moved its body to the side, and Na Da Peng fell directly face-first, landing heavily on the ground.
Everything happened so quickly that the scene before them made Mai Ya and Xiao Nvhai simultaneously freeze in shock.
“Do you have a rope?” Qiao Sang asked calmly.
She had experience dealing with Yu Beast Masters stronger than herself. When she went back to Qiao Sang’s Old Home for summer vacation, she had encountered a C-level Beastmaster. Before coming here, she had already thought of taking the initiative when the opponent was unprepared, preventing them from summoning their Pet.
Otherwise, there would be an argument, and possibly a fight, which would be troublesome.
Mai Ya stared blankly at Qiao Sang.
“Do you have a rope?” Seeing that the other party didn’t speak, Qiao Sang had to ask again.
“Yes, yes!” Mai Ya seemed to snap out of it, turned, and quickly walked into the house.
In a moment, she returned with a coil of rope.
Qiao Sang took it, squatted down, and skillfully tied Na Da Peng’s hands, making a dead knot.
After doing all this, she stood up and turned to see Xiao Nvhai staring at her with a face full of admiration.
Qiao Sang felt inexplicably embarrassed.
She turned her head again and saw the Mu La Monster still in its original spot, staring blankly at her, not having taken the opportunity to run away just now.
Why does this Pet seem a little傻… Qiao Sang inwardly complained while saying:
“Dark Shadow Control.”
Several black shadows suddenly emerged from Xiao Xunbao’s shadow on the ground, quickly and firmly binding the Mu La Monster.
This time, the Mu La Monster did not resist.
Indeed, it’s a bit silly… If that Na Da Peng hadn’t interfered, this mission would probably have been completed long ago… Qiao Sang complained again.
Just then, Ya Bao’s ears twitched, hearing movement outside. It immediately showed a vigilant expression, transforming into a red light and darting out the door.
“Is there something outside?” Mai Ya asked worriedly.
“It should be that Pet from just now waking up,” Qiao Sang, whose hearing was good, also heard the movement. She smiled:
“Don’t worry, that’s not a General-level Pet. My Pet can handle it.”
The aura and pressure of Pets at each stage are different, and Qiao Sang had encountered several General-level Pets, so she knew clearly that it was not General-level.
As soon as she finished speaking, a loud explosion came from outside.
Mai Ya’s heart instantly trembled.
They’re fighting outside?
Does this sentence mean that a High-level Pet can handle it?
Is that Pet that was being held all this time a High-level Pet?
Thinking of this, Mai Ya was confused. Looking at the child’s age, she didn’t look like she would have a High-level Pet.
“Mu Mu.”
Suddenly, the bound Mu La Monster called out with a serious expression.
“Steel Steel?”
Steel Treasure, who had been quiet by the side, called out with a grave expression, asking if it was true?
“Mu Mu!”
The Mu La Monster nodded solemnly.
“What’s true?” Qiao Sang only understood Steel Treasure’s words and couldn’t help but ask.
“Xiao Xunbao~”
Before Steel Treasure could speak, Xiao Xunbao had already started translating.
This guy says there are Scale Armor Moths in this house.
“Xiao Xunbao?”
After translating, Xiao Xunbao tilted its head.
But what are Scale Armor Moths?
“Scale Armor Moths?” Qiao Sang asked confusedly.
Mai Ya was stunned when she heard the words “Scale Armor Moths,” then she seemed to remember something and asked in a panicked tone:
“Scale Armor Moths? Why are we suddenly talking about Scale Armor Moths?”
“This Mu La Monster says there are Scale Armor Moths in this house,” Qiao Sang said.
“Impossible!” Mai Ya’s face changed drastically upon hearing this, her first reaction being disbelief.
Qiao Sang saw that her reaction was too unusual and asked,
“Is there a problem?”
Mai Ya took a deep breath, composed herself, and explained:
“Scale Armor Moths are a type of gregarious insect-type Pet that likes to gather and build nests. If they appeared in my house, there’s no way I wouldn’t know.”
“Gugu!”
Just then, a green figure screamed and flew backward into the room, smashing heavily against the wall.
The wall, like shoddy construction, instantly developed spiderweb-like cracks.
The wall peeled off, revealing a large hole.
A densely packed group of white Pets was clearly visible.
