Beast Taming: Starting From Zero
Chapter 555: Do you know about team battles?
Mu Deli nodded with satisfaction, then said, “Although this friendly match focuses on communication, it is also very important to show our hard power. I hope that the selected students have experience in 2vs2 team battles. Although your two Pets are not required to have a core tactical system like Professional Beast Tamers, you must at least have some team cooperation.”
Upon hearing this, nearly two-thirds of the students silently put their hands down.
Mu Deli looked at the students who still had their hands raised, and finally her gaze fell on the black-haired girl with a ponytail, and asked, “Qiao Sang, do you have experience in 2vs2 team battles?”
How could she possibly have any… Qiao Sang said without changing her expression: “Yes.”
Mu Deli immediately smiled:
“Then Qiao Sang will represent our school in this friendly match.”
As a champion from the Dragon Country’s third-year high school section, who came from Blue Star, no one in the entire school had more hard power than her.
She immediately thought of something and looked at the rest of the students in the class: “Does everyone have any objections?”
The students in the class all nodded.
For someone whose brain region reached 39% at the age of 15, they had no objections whatsoever.
Mu Deli said:
“There’s still one spot…”
She looked around at those who still had their hands raised: “I will write down the names of the students who want to participate. After class, you will gather on the playground for a 2vs2 match. The winner will get the second spot and represent our school in the friendly match in the First District.”
Strength reigns supreme, and the students in the class had no objections.
As soon as the homeroom teacher left, Qiao Sang turned to Tang Yi and asked:
“Did you raise your hand just now?”
“I did.” Tang Yi sighed: “But I put it down later.”
“Why?” Qiao Sang asked.
Tang Yi said: “The homeroom teacher said she wanted people with 2vs2 team battle experience, and I don’t have that kind of experience at all.”
Qiao Sang looked at him in surprise.
Such an honest person…
“I didn’t expect you to have this kind of team battle experience.” Tang Yi said admiringly: “How do you manage your time? The National Campus Pet Beast League alone took almost a semester, and you still have energy for team battles.”
Qiao Sang was silent for a while: “Actually, I don’t have that kind of experience either.”
Tang Yi’s eyes widened: “Then you just now?!”
Qiao Sang honestly said: “I want points.”
Tang Yi was instantly enlightened.
That’s right! They were from Blue Star, and the people here would never know if they had 2vs2 team battle experience!
The purpose of participating in the friendly match was for points, as long as they could win in the end!
…
After school in the afternoon, Qiao Sang did not go to the Hejin Building to participate in the Pet arena battles like the previous two days.
She had to depart for the First District in two days. The 2vs2 team battle mentioned by the homeroom teacher referred to a Yu Beast Master sending out two Pets simultaneously to battle the opponent’s two Pets. She had never tried this battle method before, so she still needed to practice. After all, she was aiming for points.
However, team combat ability is also a top priority for becoming a Professional Beast Tamer. Even if it’s not for points, she still needs to put effort into this aspect in the future.
Professional Beast Tamers generally have multiple Pets and can build a corresponding core tactical system through two or even more Pets to achieve an effect where one plus one is greater than two.
To become a Professional Beast Tamer, building a team combat system is essential.
Starting from the B-level Beast Tamer professional assessment, it is no longer a simple 1V1 mode.
The strength of a single Pet does not determine the depth of a Professional Beast Tamer.
Team combat is the focus moving forward.
To be honest, it’s a bit too early for high school students to build a team combat system for 2vs2 team battles; it’s good enough if two Pets can cooperate in battle.
This is also why Homeroom Teacher Mu Deli decided to let Qiao Sang participate without asking about her team combat system.
Qiao Sang sat in front of the computer, searching for commonly discussed team combat systems while thinking:
“Currently, my Pets include Ya Bao, Little Qunbao, Lu Bao, and Little Steel Falcon… I won’t consider Little Steel Falcon for now, as it’s currently a low-level Pet. I’m aiming for points, so winning is the priority, and a strong combination is better.”
“Ya Bao and Little Qunbao seem to pair well together, with Little Qunbao as the controller and Ya Bao as the main attacker.”
“Dark Shadow Control, paired with any of Ya Bao’s offensive skills, can achieve excellent results…”
“Ya Bao and Lu Bao also make a good pair. One Healing Light can keep Ya Bao in an undamaged state; it’s not an exaggeration to call it an infinite recovery tactic. However, if Lu Bao fights alongside Ya Bao, it definitely won’t agree to simply being a healer…”
“The most common weather tactic online can only be done by Lu Bao. It can also cause rain and has the Swift Swim ability. If I arrange this tactic, it seems I don’t need to specifically pair it with anyone else…”
“Little Qunbao and Lu Bao also combine well. Little Qunbao’s Space Movement can transfer opponents, and then Lu Bao can use Icy Wind or something, allowing Little Qunbao to directly move the opponent into the attack range.”
“However, Little Qunbao’s Space Movement works well with anyone. As long as it moves the opponent, giving its partner a good output opportunity, it can likely perfectly hit the opponent with a skill.”
“It can barely be called a space tactic…”
“Moreover, Little Qunbao has the Super Perception ability. In double battles, it can read its partner’s attacks and dodge their ultimate moves.”
“This ability is simply perfect for double battles.”
“You know, initially, many Pets cooperating in double battles easily injured their own teammates. They weren’t defeated by the opponent but instead fell by their own hands…”
While she was thinking, Lu Bao next to her called out.
Immediately after, Ya Bao’s voice sounded.
Qiao Sang turned her head and saw Ya Bao and Lu Bao engaged in an eye battle, facing each other in a standoff.
Little Steel Falcon was beside them, looking like it had a headache.
What’s wrong? Didn’t they make up a long time ago? They’re not at odds again, are they? Qiao Sang was stunned when she saw this scene and was about to ask what was going on.
“Ya Ya?”
Just as she was about to speak, Ya Bao turned its head and called out seriously, asking Lu Bao and itself who was stronger?
“Ice Ke.”
Lu Bao turned its head, looking at Qiao Sang with the same serious expression, waiting for an answer.
Qiao Sang: “.”
Qiao Sang suddenly thought of something and silently looked at Little Steel Falcon nearby.
Could it be an internal conflict triggered by Little Steel Falcon’s remark about aiming for the strongest opponent?
“Gang Gang.”
Little Steel Falcon felt Qiao Sang’s gaze, its body stiffened for a moment, then it pretended not to know anything and flew aside, obediently starting its internal breath training.
It was you, after all. Qiao Sang’s mouth twitched. Under the gazes of Ya Bao and Lu Bao, she slowly spoke:
“Do you know about team battles?” (End of this chapter)
