Chapter 908 - - 610 Lured in and killed_3

The female crew member forced an ugly smile onto her face, “Saine, activate air purification.”
“Madam, Saine is pleased to serve you, may good air accompany you every day.” A mechanical voice responded, and the stench in the cabin was rapidly extracted, leaving the air gradually clearer.
“Now, we can talk. Would you prefer to submit to me, or would you rather be killed and have your souls return to the embrace of the Goddess of Freedom?” Duge looked around at everyone again and asked.
“Souls are governed by the Goddess of Death.” The guy with an eye on his forehead said in a deep and gruff voice.
“Before they were hers, now they belong to the Goddess of Freedom,” Duge said with a smile, “Because I am a follower of the Goddess of Freedom.”
The one-eyed man wanted to speak again.
“Hu Sai, shut up.” The Captain with a bristly beard gave him a fierce glance and struggled to stand up, saluting towards Duge, “Your Excellency, the Saine Mercenary Corps is willing to submit to you.”
“The right choice,” Duge smiled, “Captain, now summon your Escort Ship back from Emperor Star and broadcast the news of your surrender to your crew and subjects on Emperor Star, apologizing to the injured citizens of Emperor Star.”
“Yes,” the bearded Captain complied, following Duge’s orders one by one. Holding a high prestige within the mercenary corps, his men, although having reservations about his unconditional surrender, dared not demonstrate any extreme behaviors.
The invading enemy was formidable, destroying an island with a single shot, yet before a wave could crest, they were suppressed by the Supreme God, choosing to surrender, which caused a huge uproar on Emperor Star.
The citizens’ confidence surged, and Duge’s prestige instantly reached an unprecedented peak, clearing away all negative comments about him.
The Saine Mercenary Corps opened up their flagship.
Duge transported Jannie and the others onboard and took control of the Saine Mercenary Corp’s flagship.
The detection equipment on Emperor Star was not as advanced as that of the Saine Mercenary Corps. Here, they could collect much more information.
When everyone gathered, Duge inquired about the interstellar situation.
In The Wasteland, there was no system to receive information; they could only transmit signals outward but were unable to collect messages from the Universe.
Duge was adept at exploiting information asymmetry and hated nothing more than a lack of transparency.
Captain Saine struggled for a moment and said, “Supreme God, we should leave immediately. The first fleet of the Thorne Divine Tribe will soon arrive, and the fleets of the Heavenly Gods Clan and Giant Clan are on their way. Who knows how many Pirate Gangs and Rangers are also rushing here; this place will soon become the most chaotic battlefield in the Universe. With just one flagship, we cannot possibly contend with so many powerful fleets.”
Duge initially proposed to use their spacecraft to leave, leading Captain Saine to misunderstand Duge’s needs.
“Why leave?” Duge glanced at him and said, “Do you think I stirred up such a huge spectacle just to flee with the Origin of Mankind, only to be hunted down by numerous civilizations?”
“…” The bearded Captain froze.
“This is a carnival determining the destiny of the Origin of Mankind, and my aim is to destroy the malevolent Thorne Divine Tribe. Captain, you will feel honored to have witnessed this carnival.”
Duge stood up tall, his gaze towards the vast starry sky, and said, “Now, in your name, issue a broadcast outward, telling them that you’ve reached Emperor Star, obtained the first ticket to the auction for the Origin of Mankind. Gather ten civilizations or fleets, and Emperor Star will commence the auction for the Origin of Mankind, tardiness will not be accommodated…”
