Apocalypse I Have One More Keyword Than Others

Chapter 891 - - 603 Origin of Mankind_2

—————✧✧✧✧—————

His gene map would undergo changes at any moment.

Wendell believed that to crack the secrets of the mutants’ genes, they had to start with the two of them.

And through them, he surmised that there must be an even more powerful Number Zero among the mutants who could awaken mutations in ordinary people, or share their own superpowers with others…

But this individual had never appeared.

At this time, Gao Deng and others were using the power of technology, such as electric shocks and drug stimulation, to temper their superpowers; Duge’s descriptions of the limits of superpowers stimulated their inner desire for power.

They looked forward to the day when they would truly break through their own limits and reach the Realm of the God Spirit…

Duge inquired about some matters related to the gene map before letting Wendell leave.

Then.

He sat down at the computer and began to browse through all the materials on the mutants that various countries had investigated, attempting to find traces of an alien civilization…

“Kou Nan, when will you do the dual cultivation you promised?” Jannie leaned on the table, with her long legs pressing against Duge’s arm.

Her eyes twinkled brightly as she lowered her voice and bent over next to Duge’s ear, “These past days, I’ve learned quite a bit about dual cultivation methods. Some of the moves are indeed interesting. I think we should give it a try, maybe we can integrate the mutants’ genes into our bodies during the process…”

She had never given up on the idea of deeply merging with Duge.

Her Skill was directional, and on Emperor Star, there was no other man more suitable to pair with her in Beaded Hall Skills.

Plus, Jannie had hidden in the witch’s body for so many years—she could divine.

Although each world’s rules were different, and the divination might not be as accurate as in her own world, she still figured out that this guy in front of her was her closest person.

“We can,” Duge glanced at Jannie and said, “Once I finish going through these mutants’ materials, we can start. We have plenty of time before we leave this planet.”

“Really?” Jannie got excited, “I’ve always said that these aren’t our bodies, you shouldn’t have any sense of shame. Besides, reproduction is the instinct of every animal. If you’re really embarrassed, we can go to the bottom of the sea. There’s no light there, no one will see…”

“Jannie, I only said dual cultivation, not reproduction.” Duge’s gaze shifted back to the computer screen, and while browsing the material, he said, “Dual cultivation goes deeper than reproduction. But your proposal is good, both of us have the Sea God’s Power, dual cultivating in the sea would be more beneficial to us…”

“It’s the same, all the same.” Jannie said carelessly, looking at Duge, she asked, “Have you awakened your Skill yet?”

“Not yet. The freedom I preach is Nothingness; no one believes in achieving true freedom, so it’s normal not to have a Skill activation.” Duge’s spiritual power was enough for him to do many things simultaneously without any mistakes.

When the mutants appeared, they caused tremendous panic around the world, with every country investigating their origins.

Every point of suspicion was investigated, so the materials were very detailed, but it seemed that all these investigations eventually came to nothing.

It was as if the mutants had indeed emerged out of nowhere.

Later on, the mutants’ rebellion erupted, and the investigation into the mutants ceased to be pursued.

The authorities seemed to accept the existence of the mutants.

“Unless one becomes the omnipotent Supreme God, there would be no real freedom,” Jannie frowned and said, “Isn’t that keyword too difficult?”

“Maybe!” Duge laughed indifferently, his eyes locked onto the news about an undersea earthquake, “Jannie, come out with me!”

“Where to? For dual cultivation?” Jannie asked.

“To here.” Duge pointed at the earthquake location, saying.

“A sea earthquake that happened thirty years ago would have erased all traces, right?” Jannie looked at the news, puzzled, “You don’t suspect that mutants appeared because of the earthquake, do you!”

“Among all the data about mutants, only the undersea earthquake here hasn’t been investigated deeply. Back then, the technology wasn’t advanced enough to reach such deep sea levels. If mutants really appeared by accident, this is the most likely place.” Duge smiled, “The sea is our turf; if we find nothing, we’ll do our dual cultivation here.”

“Okay.” Jannie readily agreed, her interest in dual cultivation far exceeding the pursuit of the truth about mutants.

Duge took Jannie and instantaneously moved to the airspace above the epicenter of the sea earthquake.

Then.

The two descended into the depths of the ocean.

The ocean here was a full depth of more than eight thousand meters.

Thirty years ago, the technology of Emperor Star couldn’t reach such deep ocean floors, and the investigation into this earthquake became an unsolved mystery according to the records.

With the power of the Sea God, Duge and Jannie were like fish in water, and the pitch-black environment didn’t even affect their vision.

Thirty years had passed, and all traces were buried; here it seemed like a normal seabed. When Duge manipulated the seawater to push away the silt, a spaceship appeared before their eyes.

“My God, what is this?” Jannie’s eyes widened in disbelief, “Duge, you actually found the cause.”

“Let’s take it up and have a look,” said Duge, his spirits lifted at the sight of the spaceship. A spaceship that had come to Earth from an external civilization was bound to carry a Star Map, and he finally would acquire what he had been lacking.

If they could repair this spaceship, it would be perfect.

Duge used his Sea God’s Power to tow the spaceship, dragging it towards the surface. Jannie followed behind. With this new development, she temporarily put aside the thought of dual cultivation.

At last.

Duge placed the spaceship, which had sunk to the ocean floor thirty years ago, on an island.

The spaceship was approximately five hundred meters long and shuttle-shaped, with the hatch on the top, locked tight.

It was impossible to sense the inside from the outside, but the pockmarked hull of the ship indicated it had been through a ruthless battle before entering Earth.

Duge attempted to pry open the hatch, but it wouldn’t budge and even blocked the intrusion of Divine Power, so there was no way to break it from the inside.

After pondering for a moment.

A lightsaber materialized in Duge’s hand, and he resorted to the most primitive form of violent disassembly.

The material of the spaceship was tough, but it couldn’t withstand the scorching power of the Solar Divine Power, and in a moment, Duge had cut a big hole in the hull of the ship.

The moment the hole appeared, it seemed to activate the spaceship’s own alarm system, and the lights on the ship’s body started to flash rhythmically, whilst the ability to sense inside the spaceship was restored.

The interior of the spaceship was empty, not a single living or dead creature.

Jannie glanced inside and asked, “Shall we go in?”

“No need for now,” Duge shook his head, then suddenly looked up toward the distant sky.

Jannie followed his gaze but saw nothing.

In a mere moment, a dot appeared and drew rapidly closer, arriving near them in a short while.

It was a person entirely clad in armor, standing on a flying device similar to a swallow’s tail; the flyer hovered opposite Duge, and as it stopped, the mask on his face popped open, revealing a somewhat aged face.

He looked at Duge and then at the large hole cut into the spaceship, a resigned expression on his face: “I knew I shouldn’t have hoped for luck. Damn it, you’ve even damaged the spaceship!”

“Who are you?” asked Jannie.

“Kaska, Star Ranger,” the newcomer said angrily, looking at Duge, “It’s bad enough you dragged out the spaceship, but why did you damage it? You’ve caused a big problem!”

“What problem have we caused?” asked Duge.

“Origin of Mankind,” said Kaska. “I had sealed the Origin of Mankind inside the spaceship; the ship isolated it from sending out signals and was undetectable from the outside. Now that you’ve damaged the spaceship, the Thorne Divine Tribe will soon find this place.

I admit you two are strong, but you are definitely no match for the Thorne Divine Tribe. If the spaceship was intact, we could have escaped. Now, we can only stay here and wait for death.”

Finally, they could make contact with the outside world!

The Thorne Divine Tribe!

The Origin of Mankind?

That sounded like something extremely significant!

Duge, still composed, said to Kaska, “Don’t be so nervous, Kaska, there’s always a solution to a problem. Why not start by telling me, what is the Origin of Mankind? Is that what caused the appearance of Mutants?”

“You don’t know about the Origin of Mankind?” Kaska looked at Duge, puzzled in his counter-question, “Then where does your Divine Power come from?”
