Apocalypse I Have One More Keyword Than Others
Chapter 770 - - 559 Guiding the Emperor and Making Enemies with the World_2
—————✧✧✧✧—————
Before the pavilion, a waterfall cascaded down, surrounded by exotic flowers and herbs competing to bloom. On a stone table inside the pavilion, rare fruits had already been placed. Two child servants, appearing to be around thirteen or fourteen years old, stood by holding a teapot.
Upon seeing Duge, who resembled a child, the two servants hesitated for a moment before regaining their composure.
Longevity Emperor invited Duge and another to sit, and the servants by their side served them tea. As the tea poured into the bowl, a refreshing fragrance immediately filled the air.
“Senior, this tea is a speciality of the Longevity Emperor, named ‘Celestial Fragrance’. A mere cup can extend a mortal’s life by a hundred years and is also beneficial for cultivators; truly, it is a rare treasure. Senior, please.” Emperor Donghua naturally picked up the teacup, smiling as he introduced it to Duge, not avoiding calling him ‘senior’.
Senior?
Longevity Emperor and the two child servants were momentarily stunned and looked at Duge in unison.
“Thank you, Longevity Daoist.” Duge smiled, picked up the tea, and drank it in one gulp. Given the keyword, Alien Warriors naturally aren’t afraid of being poisoned. Besides, Longevity Emperor, with his high position and authority, would deal with him directly if he intended harm, not resort to such despicable means as poisoning.
“There are rumors that Daoist Eastern Radiance was bewitched by evil demons, and such a great Daluo Golden Immortal refers to a child not even ten as ‘senior’.” Longevity Emperor pointed at them, laughing boldly, “Now it seems the rumor is indeed true!”
Emperor Donghua, apparently used to Longevity Emperor’s personality, wasn’t angry and said, “Brother Longevity, don’t rush, you’ll have to call him that soon too.”
“Could it be that ‘Human Emperor’s keyword’ is about deception?” Longevity Emperor looked at Duge again, smiling as he asked.
Duge didn’t beat around the bush and released all his Daoist Rhymes.
The smile on Longevity Emperor’s face immediately stiffened: “Daoist Rhyme?”
“Indeed, it is Daoist Rhyme.” Emperor Donghua shook his head, laughing, and gestured to the dazed-child servants to pour him more tea, “Brother Longevity, understanding one Daoist Rhyme is to be a Quasi-Saint, ten Daoist Rhymes is to be a Saint. Brother, why don’t you identify how many Daoist Rhymes are entwined around the senior?”
Longevity Emperor focused his gaze, and after a moment, furrowed his brow, “The Daoist Rhymes are entangled, intricate and complex; how could I possibly discern how many there are?”
Before he had finished speaking,
Duge withdrew all the Daoist Rhymes back into his body, leaving only the Daoist Rhyme of Light. Then, he gradually demonstrated those of Water, Darkness, Electricity, and Human Emperor Daoist Rhyme.
“Five kinds.” Longevity Emperor stared dumbfounded at Duge, his expression solemn, “Who exactly are you?”
“Brother Dao, I am the incarnation of Heavenly Dao from another world, using the body of an Alien Warrior to seize the rules of Pan-Universe Entertainment.” Duge smiled, pulling out the same story he used to fool Emperor Donghua, and told it to Longevity Emperor.
“Union with the Dao?” Longevity Emperor was stunned, “Above a Saint, is it to merge with the Heavenly Dao?”
“Yes.” Duge nodded affirmatively, eased greatly by having Emperor Donghua to vouch for him as he convinced Longevity Emperor, “Longevity Daoist, in my world, there are Three Thousand Great Daos, and each one can lead to sainthood. I observe that Longevity Emperor’s Mount Sumeru and Dao are similar to my disciples Zhunti and Jieyin, which inspired me to suggest that the way of Doctrine for Becoming a Saint suits you.”
As soon as he had finished speaking,
before Longevity Emperor could respond, Emperor Donghua stalled, already having contributed much to Duge but not yet finding his own path to sainthood. Yet, upon meeting Longevity Emperor, Duge immediately identified his path to sainthood.
Is the difference between people really that great?
Emperor Donghua looked at Longevity Emperor sourly, the smile stiff on his face, even finding the tea in his hand less appealing.
“What is the Doctrine for Becoming a Saint?” Longevity Emperor asked.
“Before I merged with the Dao, I had six disciples,” Duge’s gaze swept over Longevity Emperor and Emperor Donghua, “namely Shangqing, Taiqing, Yuqing, Nvwa, Zhunti, Jieyin.
All six disciples are Saints.
Among them, Nvwa created the Human Race and was the first to become a Saint, choosing the path of virtue to sainthood, the weakest in strength;
Shangqing, Taiqing, and Yuqing each established their own sects, spreading their doctrines during the primal era, thus becoming Saints through teaching;
While Zhunti and Jieyin jointly established the Western Sect, sharing the merits of teaching; unable to achieve sainthood, they finally issued a vast decree to become Saints;
All six disciples, five followed the path of Doctrine for Becoming a Saint. Seeing Mount Sumeru and the Dao of Longevity Emperor reminiscent of my disciples Zhunti and Jieyin, I felt a connection and thus mentioned that Longevity Daoist is suited for the path of Doctrine for Becoming a Saint. If Longevity Daoist does not wish to follow this path, then let’s pretend I never mentioned it.”
After all that, how could I possibly pretend you didn’t say it?
Like Emperor Donghua, Longevity Emperor was stuck at the stage of Daluo Golden Immortal and had been itching to advance; now, upon seeing the path to sainthood, how could he possibly hold back?
He stood up and bowed deeply to Duge, “Please, senior, teach your disciple the Doctrine for Becoming a Saint.”
“Do you truly wish to learn?” Duge asked.
“Please, teacher, bestow your teaching.” The Longevity Emperor humbly insisted, taking another step forward.
“Longevity friend, I am but an Incarnation of Heaven. Currently, my cultivation level isn’t even as high as yours. There’s no need to call me teacher,” Duge waved his hand, “Just call me senior.”
“Senior.” The Longevity Emperor looked up at Duge, saw the determination on his face, and had no choice but to switch back to the previous address.
“Longevity friend, once you establish a doctrine, you must found your own sect and no longer be restricted by the Immortal Court. Are you willing to do this?” Duge’s Tirelessly Ruinous was a passive skill, constantly stirring up the evil thoughts in people’s hearts, “You are an emperor of the Heavenly Court; leaving the Immortal Court means betrayal, and could bring disaster upon yourself. Are you still prepared to follow this path?”
“Disciple is willing,” the Longevity Emperor said without a second thought, for an Immortal Emperor was merely a Quasi-Saint. Who would care about the Immortal Court if one could become a Saint?
“Good,” Duge nodded, “Longevity friend, since you are resolved, let me discuss the matter of establishing a doctrine with you. Daoist Eastern Radiance, you listen too; this might enable you to take a few shortcuts to becoming a Saint.”
“Thank you, senior,” Emperor Donghua hastily expressed his gratitude.
“My fellow Daoists, among my disciples, Great Purity founded the Human Church, Yuqing founded the Elucidation Church, and Shangqing founded the Cut-Off Church.
Great Purity educates the human race. Yuqing elucidates the heavenly will, Shangqing’s Cut-Off Church teaches without discrimination, its disciples mostly beings with fur and horns, born from dampness and eggs.
Now, I have revived the Human Emperor Inheritance among the human race; the Immortal Emperor governs all immortals; the Demon Emperor manages the demonic kind.
These three ways of establishing doctrines are not your fate. Only the Western Church founded by Jieyin and Zhunti is tied to your destiny, using Buddhism to ferry people across, creating Pure Land, teaching compassion to the world, spreading great enlightenment to relieve suffering…”
Duge’s extraordinary spiritual power allowed him to easily search the memory on Earth without any mistakes. And having experienced so many alien battlefields and practiced numerous cultivation techniques, any sudden complexities could be covered by his own experiences and knowledge.
Things about Buddhism from novels, films, and reality were mixed together and all presented at once by him.
After all.
The stories of Buddhism are indeed fascinating.
Such as “Purifying the minds of all beings, guarding their virtues…”
“…I establish this transcendental aspiration; I must reach the ultimate Dao. If this vow is not fulfilled, I shall not attain supreme enlightenment…”
“To end all beings’ afflictions. Wherever prayers arise, responses are given…”
“If hell is not empty, I vow not to become a Buddha…” and so forth.
Listening to this, the two venerable emperors of Longevity were astounded and dumbstruck.
In the mind of the Longevity Emperor, as Duge described, the framework of a great church appeared, and through this denomination, he also saw its impact on the mundane world, the Underworld, and the Immortal Court.
If this church were established, his influence in the Three Realms would certainly surpass that of the Immortal Emperor…
Emperor Donghua was also shocked. He was a wise man; how could he not understand the implications behind establishing a doctrine? This was no longer just opposing the Immortal Court; this action was digging at the foundation of the Immortal Court, and not merely the foundation of the Immortal Court.
That phrase “If hell is not empty, I vow not to become a Buddha” was clearly sharing the power of the Underworld Emperor, even undermining the foundation of the Underworld.
It’s just that among the disciples of the Longevity Emperor, there were several Daluo Golden Immortals who could do such a thing. Were it him, he definitely could not achieve this; he feared as soon as he announced the establishment of the denomination, he would be suppressed jointly by the Immortal Court and the Underworld.
However.
Even for the Longevity Emperor, if he were to openly establish Buddhism, it probably wouldn’t be easy. He would quickly surpass Duge’s Human Emperor, becoming the enemy of the entire world, right?
Emperor Donghua suddenly remembered when Duge had come ashore and asked obliviously, “Is there a Buddha in this world?”
A streak of inspiration suddenly flashed through his mind; he hadn’t planned to cooperate with the Longevity Emperor at all. From the beginning, his intention was to use him to attract the attention of the Immortal Court, removing himself and secretly developing the Human Emperor Inheritance!
What a terrifying scheme!
Emperor Donghua looked at the increasingly obsessed Longevity Emperor and sighed secretly. He couldn’t turn back now.
