Apocalypse I Have One More Keyword Than Others
Chapter 542 - - 478 Mr. Du makes his move, stirring up opposition everywhere with action 3
—————✧✧✧✧—————
As Duge had anticipated.
Following the fermentation of news about the President’s assassination, more outstanding Mech Warriors popped up on the battle network. They flexed their muscles in various ways and did not shy away from self-promotion.
Some publicly mocked the entire world, cursing experts, the President, and the world’s injustices…
Others offered classes on the battle network, intending to teach Mecha combat skills and ways to improve spiritual power to the entire network. They promised that within three months, they could help an average person with spiritual power pass an ace Mech Warrior’s assessment;
There were also those who publicly preached doomsday theories on the battle network, touting the strength of the Hill civilization. They claimed that the so-called battle network plan was not an escape route but a conspiracy by the Hill civilization—that the higher-ups of Green Star had long since surrendered to the Hill civilization. Their goal was to stabilize Green Star’s population at the last moment and then exchange the lives of billions of Green Star citizens for their own future;
Some even claimed to be saviors, asserting that all superheroes were created by them to rescue the people of Green Star from peril. Those who believed in him would gain eternal life;
…
Outside the battle network.
More superheroes leaped into action.
No.
More accurately, it was the villains who opposed the superheroes that came forward. They, too, wore masks; some killed, some set fires, and some even kidnapped government officials, declaring independence;
There were also challenges thrown at relatively positive superheroes like Black Cat Hero and masked heroes from afar…
And so on and so forth, too numerous to enumerate.
It wasn’t just that.
Marta Country, an inland nation rich in minerals, suddenly announced its withdrawal from the federation and restored its autonomy;
The sixteenth group army of the federation and its ace Mech Warrior launched a rebellion in the northern parts of the federation. Within just one day, they took over several super-sized industrial hubs like Red Ridge, Snowy Region, Qingyang, Dragon Mountain, and gained the capability to independently produce Mechas;
…
In just two short days, Green Star seemed to be afflicted by a curse, suddenly descending into chaos. Many places erupted in warfare, and all sorts of news flew everywhere.
As one act ended, another began. Even the ordinary citizens watching were overwhelmed by the rapid developments.
Under the provocation of Alien Warriors, Green Star fell into disorder.
The battle network was flooded with pessimism and despair as if the apocalypse really was upon them…
Federal government meetings were called one after another. The President did not dare raise the issue of shutting down the battle network in the meetings. The chaos had already spiraled with the network still active. If it were shut down, he couldn’t imagine what kind state Green Star would descend into.
By comparison.
The Imperial Capital, with the National Defense Bureau and Duge present, remained relatively stable. After all, Green Star’s territory was vast and even if war broke out, it wasn’t likely to reach every corner of the world in an instant.
…
“Lin Hong, is this what you wanted to see?”
When Nalan Li’s call came through Duge’s phone, Duge was visiting the Hill civilization’s spacecraft at the headquarters of the Science Academy. He had thought about beating up all the scientists upon arriving at the academy to ensure his identity wouldn’t leak.
But upon arriving, Duge found it unnecessary, as all the scientists here were busy and engrossed in researching various data and conducting all sorts of experiments. They simply had no time to care what others were doing, let alone what was happening outside?
Duge saw no need to bully such a group of dedicated people, nor did he need to worry about his identity being leaked by them.
Even taking Nalan Li’s call, Duge found a quiet room, lest his voice disturb the scientists working outside.
“Yes, this is what I wanted.” Duge, constantly monitoring the world situation through the battle network, affirmed in response to Nalan Li’s questioning.
“Now the world situation is getting worse and worse. If this goes on, it’s completely out of control,” Nalan Li roared.
“Nalan, I know you’re anxious, but don’t rush.” Duge chuckled, “It’s been just a few days, not many will die. Tell me, how many have responded to Ying Fei and Fan Lie?”
“Three people have responded to Ying Fei, and only two to Fan Lie,” Nalan Li said, “But with the sudden turn for the worse, neither Ying Fei nor Fan Lie can guarantee that the people they’ve contacted will come on time…”
“Nalan Li, are you up for doing something big?” Duge opened the battle network, looked at the pandemonium of Alien Warriors, and asked with a smile.
“Isn’t this big enough already?” Nalan Li asked.
“Not quite enough.” Duge chuckled, “What I think you should do right now is to post the real-world identities of all the Alien Warriors we’ve found on the battle network, and then you’ll find out… the National Strategic Defense Bureau might get a surprise…”
“…” Nalan Li was stunned, it took her a while to swallow, “Lin Hong, you’re a devil, aren’t you!”
“Nalan Li, there are too many Alien Warriors. Without a batch dying off, no one will listen,” Duge laughed lightly, “They need to know that only by working with the officials can they possibly survive to the end.”
Rankings?
Rankings are bullshit!
Rather than waiting until the end of the month for Pan-Universe Entertainment to announce the top ten rankings…
It’s better that he publish the list first.
No matter the ranking, nobody should think they can stay out of it, nobody should hope to lie low—nobody escapes Mr. Du’s watch…
