Apocalypse I Have One More Keyword Than Others
Chapter 451 - - 434 Verbal criticism and written condemnation_3
—————✧✧✧✧—————
Pan Gu was the God of Creation, the God who forged the heavens. Even after his death, he was still revered by all generations.
There was also a God Spirit called Nüwa, who saw the emptiness of the world and created thousands of creatures with Divine Power, honored as the mother of all beings;
There was a world where ten suns chased across the sky, causing suffering to all living beings; Hou Yi, a God Spirit, bent his bow and notched his arrows, shooting down nine suns, saving the people from disaster…
Look at these great God Spirits, and now look at you?
Bordeluna, what have you done these years?
You have done nothing.
One could say, with or without you, the world would be the same. You have all this Divine Power, yet you crave comfort and have committed the sin of laziness."
“…” The Solar God frowned and asked, “You come from another world?”
“Bordeluna, do not divert the topic. Face your own heart. As one of the five Ancient Deities, were you really born to this world just to enjoy yourselves?” Duge asked sternly.
“Who are you really?” The Solar God’s assault slowed slightly.
“You have chosen Angels to be your servants, yet you let them commit misdeeds outside, bully others with their power, and make all beings too fearful to speak, even your spokesperson, the Pope, is a complete villain.”
Duge did not answer him but continued, “Take a walk in the Mortal Realm and you would understand what kind of image you, the exalted Solar God, truly hold in the hearts of the people. Do not say these have nothing to do with you. Without you, none of this would have happened. You have committed the sins of negligence, connivance, and dereliction of duty…”
“Who are you?” The Solar God asked again.
“Who am I? I am the God of Judgement. My mission is to judge all evildoers. The grievances of all beings have congregated upon me, pointing towards you, the sinner. I have come sniffing sin, representing justice, the will of the people, to judge you today. If you were not sinful, I would not be appearing before you, but merely watching you silently from the shadows.”
Duge spoke with righteous severity, “Bordeluna, have you not noticed your weakening Divine Power and my growing strength?”
“…” The Solar God suddenly became stunned.
“Let me tell you the reason.” Duge smiled, “It’s because you have lost the protection of the planet’s will. The people are disappointed in you, meaning the world is disappointed in you, and that’s why your Divine Power is being diminished.
The world does not need a Solar God who is a mere figurehead, and so I have appeared. In every world I arrive in, my Divine Power resets to zero, but as I fight against sin, the willpower of all beings converges upon me, bolstering my strength.
Bordeluna, if you were innocent, I would be weak. The deeper your transgressions, the greater my power. As you grow weaker and I become stronger, the time of your end will arrive…”
“I don’t believe it.” The Solar God grew increasingly frantic, and more fireballs rained down on the Sea God’s Martial Spirit, hastening the evaporation of the Holy Pool’s water, “You are using the Sea God’s Power. As long as I dry up your water, you will be killed by me. No one can judge me.”
“Bordeluna, don’t be deluded any longer. The path to virtue brings allies, while the path of wrongdoing leads to isolation.” Duge smiled, “You have been betrayed by everyone, including your own Angels. If you were blameless, why would they assist me? Miller, tell me, is Bordeluna guilty?”
“Guilty.” Miller didn’t know what Duge was up to, but at this point, siding with him was surely correct. If the Solar God did not perish, it would be their end.
“Reilir, is he guilty?” Duge asked again.
“Guilty.” Reilir spoke.
“Averill, is he guilty?” Duge asked.
“Guilty.”
“Guilty!”
“Guilty!”
…
One voice after another rose.
At last, the will of the Solar God wavered, and he roared in anger: “Nonsense, I am blameless, I am a born God Spirit, all should serve me…”
“Bordeluna, acknowledge your sins, make amends for your wrongdoings, and you might still receive the forgiveness of the world’s will.” Duge looked at the Solar God, “The world’s will is merciful. It does not wish to see its children walking the path of evil. It gives you one chance, and I too give you one chance. Now tell me, are you guilty?”
Impartiality had not switched off the skill aimed at the Solar God.
As Duge’s leading words fell, the steadfast mind of the Solar God finally revealed a crack, and he blurted out, “I am guilty, I am the Solar God, I should not have coveted ease, disregarding the myriad of creatures…”
Upon uttering these words, the Solar God’s expression showed panic for the first time.
He tried to close his mouth, but it wouldn’t shut no matter what.
The more he panicked, the more Duge’s interrogations invaded his mind, as if the sins Duge had defined for him had truly come to pass.
“I am guilty, I should not have fallen into slumber after creating Bordeluna, letting angels commit atrocities unchecked, I have committed the sin of negligence…”
Success!
Watching the Solar God frantically confessing his sins under the influence of the Impartiality skill, Duge smiled, and the Martial Spirit of the Sea God suddenly shrank, infusing his body into the ocean beneath his feet.
The surging waters instantly submerged the panicking Solar God. With the help of the water, Duge instantly teleported behind him. The Sword of Justice ruthlessly stabbed toward his back.
The Solar God hurriedly dodged, but still got his back slashed by the Sword of Justice. Scalding golden blood once again surged out, turning into a hot lava that passed through Duge’s Martial Spirit and fell to the ground.
This time his wound did not heal.
The Solar God, realizing the change in his body, turned to look at Duge, increasingly panicked. He opened his mouth wanting to ask why, but as soon as he did, he still said, “I am guilty, I have committed the sin of indulgence…”
“Bordeluna, unfortunately, you’ve admitted your crimes too late. The world’s will is still disappointed in you; it has taken back your immortality. Next comes the time of your judgement,” Duge said with a light chuckle, taking the opportunity to dismantle the Solar God’s will.
These gods, seemingly fierce but without battle for thousands of years, once their hearts are breached, are actually quite fragile, no match for the hardened fighters like Duge who emerged from the mountains of blades and the seas of fire.
The inability to heal his wounds even made the Solar God forget to release the Solar Divine Fire, to burn the water in the Sea God’s Martial Spirit. He desperately looked at Duge, his eyes even showing a trace of pleading.
But Duge would not give him the chance.
To kick one’s enemy when they are down, seize their life, is the royal road to saving oneself.
The herbs from the Forest God have a time limit; once the effects wear off and the Solar God realizes he has been deceived, that will be his time to die.
Besides, what use to the world is a slumbering Solar God? Better to kill him to level up oneself.
Another teleport.
Duge left another non-healing wound on the Solar God.
The Solar God, showing a horrified expression, turned and fled.
But Duge’s speed matched his, and how could he allow his escape with a teleport?
The Solar God, who had exposed his back, could no longer avoid Duge’s sneak attack and was impaled through the heart by a sword from Duge. The blood drained even faster.
The Solar God’s vitality was undeniably stubborn, perhaps as he had said, where there was sunlight, he would not die. So even after bleeding so much, the Solar God still desperately tried to flee.
Inevitably.
Duge could only swing his sword to cut off his head, legs, and arms to halt his flight.
Though he received the treatment of Chiyou, the Solar God did not die but instead had his divine power severely diminished.
At this point, the Solar God’s confessions also stopped.
The Solar God, finally coming to his senses, realized something was amiss, because his “crimes” were all told by Duge, with no other sins…
The Solar God churned his head, glaring at Duge with fury and bellowed, “You deceived me?”
