Chapter 442 - - 427 Sea God died_1

—————✧✧✧✧—————

“The Sea God? Impossible!” Remiel said. “The Sea God is an Ancient Deity, how could he possibly have fallen?”

“What kind of Evil God sprang out of nowhere are you?” Phyra asked sternly.

“Phyra, Remiel, whether I am the new Sea God, let’s awaken the Solar God and have him verify it,” Duge said with an unconcerned smile. “Reilir, Nobb, load these sinners onto the chariot; they are subordinates of the Solar God, let him pass Judgement on them…”

Nobb and Reilir picked up a large pile of blood-stained wings from the ground and began loading them onto the Chariot of the Solar God.

“I know you are not the Sea God, what exactly are you trying to do?” Miller frowned and asked, looking at Duge.

“I want to become the Divine King,” Duge gestured for Nobb and others to stop and looked at the shattered Angels around him. “Several Ancient Deities have been enjoying the comforts of their positions for too long. It’s time to clear them out and create a new God Realm.”

“You want to become the Divine King?” Miller was stunned. “I admit you are powerful, but you can’t possibly be a match for the Solar God.”

“Miller, where do you think this Divine Power of mine comes from?” Duge laughed. “Why do you think the Sea God fell?”

“You killed the Sea God?” Averill’s pupils shook dramatically as she exclaimed.

“The Sea God passed away peacefully,” Duge said with a smile.

At that statement, all the Archangels fell silent; it was a piece of information that could not be verified, but they all knew that the man before them would not give them a chance for verification.

“I know you don’t believe me, but the Sea God’s Power does not lie,” Duge said. “Archangels, now you have two paths before you. The first is to follow me and kill the slumbering Solar God. Then you can remain Archangels, because obviously, I need people to manage the God Realm for me…”

“And the second?” Phyra asked.

“The second, of course, is to kill you all. Reilir and I could try to kill the Solar God, and then I’d find a new group to help me manage Bordeluna,” Duge said, scanning the crowd with a smile. “You know I have that ability.”

The group of Archangels fell silent once more.

“A simple multiple-choice question, isn’t it?” Duge said. “I know choosing one out of two might be difficult, but listen to how the Sea God’s subordinates died. It might help you with your decision.”

“Wasn’t it you who killed them?” Averill sneered.

“It would be pointless if I was the killer,” Duge seemed to recall something amusing, a smile brushing across his face. “I once judged the Sea God’s Divine Envoys for their sins and gave them a chance to choose, just as I am doing with you. But those fools were too stupid; they actually tried to awaken the Sea God to kill me and cover their sins…”

Several Archangels shifted almost imperceptibly, clearly entertaining the same thought.

Duge caught their minute expressions and, with a smile, said: “After they awoke the Sea God, they didn’t manage to say a word, each of them rushed to confess their sins before the Sea God.”

The faces of the Archangels paled; after being subdued, they couldn’t utter a word other than confessions.

Thinking of waking the Solar God only for each of them to end up confessing their sins, the Archangels looked at Duge as if they were looking at a real devil.

“Indeed, the awakened Sea God, without even asking why, eliminated them all with just a raise of his hand,” Duge said with a mischievous smile. “They all died a pitiful death. At that moment, their biggest regret must have been not choosing to work with me!”

The faces of the Archangels grew even more unsightly.

“However, fortunately for you, I am an upright person. In the end, I killed the tyrannical Sea God and avenged everyone,” Duge’s gaze swept over their faces once again. “Phyra, Miller, I wonder if you’re willing to wager that the Solar God has less of a temper upon waking than the Sea God…”

Phyra, Miller, and the others exchanged glances, still silent; making such a decision was indeed difficult.

“Does your loyalty to the Solar God make it too hard to decide in front of others?” Duge smiled. “Then I shall ask for your intentions individually. Remiel, since you and Reilir are twins, you go first.”

With a gesture from Duge, the Martial Spirit of the Sea God swept Remiel up, along with his wings, and he vanished from view in the blink of an eye, only to be later put down in the depths of the dense forest.

“Sir, I am willing to cooperate with you,” Remiel hastened to say after being set down.

“Remiel, you’ve made a smart choice,” Duge said with a smile. “But even if you had not agreed, I would still reattach your wings and bring you back unharmed. No matter what you say, they won’t believe you; you are not just my ally, you are now one of us.”

“…” Remiel’s ingratiating smile abruptly froze on his face; he swallowed hard, “I am sincere.”

“I know,” Duge nodded and said. “Remiel, bear the pain for a bit. I need to reopen the wound to reattach the wings. I’ll use a healing spell to stabilize it for now. Once we’re back, have Reilir heal you with Holy Light…”

When Remiel reappeared before everyone unharmed, the remaining Archangels could no longer maintain their composure. They didn’t even wait for Duge to take them away and question them individually; they rushed to pledge their allegiance to him.

At this point, no one was concerned about whether Duge’s fabricated story was true or false.

In their hearts, the Sea God had already fallen, and no one even cared about Duge’s true identity anymore.

Nobb was amazed and learned yet another trick from Duge.

After all the Archangels had their wings attached again, Duge and his companions got into the Chariot of the Solar God and entered Bordeluna.

The holy land had mountains, rivers, and verdant forests.

In the forest, there were all kinds of exotic fruit trees and rare birds and beasts not commonly seen on land, with Angels harvesting the fruits and playing with the animals. However, those toiling in the fields were mostly wingless ordinary people.

But the ordinary people in the holy land were different from the populace in the Mortal Realm; there wasn’t a hint of sorrow on their faces, only happiness and sweetness.

As the Chariot of the Solar God flew past, both Angels and ordinary people would voluntarily stop and salute it.

Inside the holy land, there was a scene of joyful harmony.

The most conspicuous sight was a towering mountain.

Atop the mountain was a glistening golden Holy Temple surrounded by Angels of a higher rank; primarily four-winged Angels and occasionally some six-winged Angels. They were either on duty or training, constituting the main combat forces of the holy land.

The Chariot of the Solar God drove all the way to a crystal-clear pond behind the temple and stopped, which was the so-called Holy Pool.

It was said that the Holy Water inside was transformed from the blood of the Solar God. It could heal all injuries and remove all negative effects.

Reilir dispersed the guards of the Holy Pool and then called for Phyra and the others to dismount the carriage. All the Angels plunged into the Holy Pool at once, nourishing their wounded bodies.

Having already prepared themselves for deicide, they took advantage of any healing they could get. Duge had been too harsh on them.

In the holy land, Duge’s divine consciousness still worked; he could feel a tremendous life force from within the water. However, the Holy Water didn’t belong to any element, and the Sea God’s Power could also affect it.

Duge pondered for a moment, then revealed his Martial Spirit and combined the Holy Water with it.

As a result,

he actually felt an increase in the power of the Sea God.

This sensation was not unlike when he had first practiced the Spirit Condensing Jue.

The Holy Water had a direct effect on the Sea God’s Power embedded in his soul.

Originally, Duge’s Martial Spirit was just a virtual image.

But after the combination with the Holy Water, the Martial Spirit showed signs of solidification.

Divine Power?

Duge was stunned.

The Sea God’s Power was, besides his skills, the only good thing he had brought from the simulation field. And in this world with Gods, he felt the ascent of the Sea God’s Power once again.

Perhaps, the power of God was the key to his confrontation with Pan-Universe Entertainment.

The six-winged Angels soaking in the pool, seeing Duge’s Martial Spirit become more solidified under the nourishment of the Holy Water, and apart from Reilir who was clear about Duge’s details, dismissed their suspicions about his identity as the Sea God.

The power on his body was indeed the authentic Sea Divine Power, not the power of the Martial Spirit!

Duge had indeed killed the Sea God.

In that moment,

they suddenly gained ample confidence in committing deicide.

The miracles happening to Duge left Nobb astonished. He hurriedly borrowed Duge’s power and also revealed his Sea God Martial Spirit.

As a result,

his Martial Spirit showed no changes at all.

Being a bastard certainly came with different treatment.

Nobb pursed his lips in disappointment, inwardly complaining, and put away his Martial Spirit. He dove headfirst into the Holy Pool, letting the water nourish his body.
