Chapter 313 - - 311 Master, you lost_1
—————✧✧✧✧—————
Dragon Teeth was an assassin organization, outwardly masquerading as the Coiling Dragon Sword Sect.
The disciples of the sect also engaged in chivalrous deeds in the jianghu and participated in various jianghu activities, earning themselves an excellent reputation; nobody knew, however, that the Coiling Dragon Sword Sect was the infamous Dragon Teeth.
Of course, not every disciple of the Coiling Dragon Sword Sect was an assassin.
Only those without family or dependents were specially chosen and trained in the ways of the assassin.
In Leng Shi’s memory, his life consisted only of learning skills, accepting missions, and the highest leader he’d ever met was the Sect Leader of the Coiling Dragon Sword Sect.
No one knew who actually controlled Dragon Teeth.
Duge walked in through the main entrance of the Sword Sect with Wu Chang, swaggering confidently.
All along the way, disciples greeted him.
Duge nodded to them in acknowledgement.
As they walked deeper into the compound, they encountered fewer people.
Wu Chang followed behind Duge, filled with wonder. He had thought that He Xu was going to forcefully break into Dragon Teeth; he had no idea that he was actually one of them. This sudden shift in identity left him completely bewildered.
Finally.
Duge and his companion arrived at a tranquil courtyard halfway up the hillside.
Several lanterns hung along the corridor, their dim yellow light illuminating the small yard, clearly revealing it to be filled with lush bamboo.
A stream flowed through the yard with a plethora of flowers blooming along its banks, and inside the courtyard, there was a pavilion and a stone bridge, making it seem like a hermit’s retreat.
A young man dressed in tight-fitting clothing just happened to come out of the yard at that moment and paused in surprise at the sight of Duge, “Senior Brother Leng?”
“Greetings, Senior Brother,” Duge saluted with a fist, asking, “Brother, is Master inside?”
“Yes,” responded the Senior Brother, his voice turning cold, as he stepped aside from the gate behind him, hand on the hilt of his Longsword, “Master has been waiting for your return.”
Duge nodded to the Senior Brother and called out to Wu Chang, “Let’s go, Old Wu.”
Wu Chang rested his hand on the sword at his waist, swallowing nervously, suddenly feeling uncertain.
If Duge had chosen to fight his way through, he could have forcefully charged through, collecting warlike attributes from the ordinary disciples along the way. If possible, he could have even acquired a skill and that would have been a game-changer.
But instead, Duge had led him straight to the big BOSS, so what use were his warlike attributes now?
He Xu alone could take on ten of him; how powerful then must his master be, who could be his mentor?
This He Xu, he feared, was simply using him as a shield…
Damn it!
If He Xu wasn’t a match for his master, he’d have to find a way to save himself; he couldn’t let himself become cannon fodder for these treacherous schemers as a mighty Alien Warrior.
Since Dragon Teeth was an assassin organization and Duge had already brought him in,
if He Xu were to fail, he might use his undying body and Three Inches Uncorrupted Tongue, along with the princess outside, to maybe earn a name for himself within the organization—securing a foothold in this world would be better than hanging on to a fallen princess for hope…
…
No sooner had Duge entered the yard than a deep voice emanated from inside the room, “Leng Shi, have you returned under the name of a Dragon Teeth assassin? Or as Mr. He, the Imperial Master of the Fourth Princess?”
“Master, I’ve returned as a challenger,” Duge declared, standing in the yard and laughing out loud.
“…” There was a momentary pause from the voice inside the room, followed by laughter, “Whom do you plan to challenge?”
“Naturally, you, Master. Master, right now, whatever I say is pointless. In the end, we have to fight it out anyway. Rather than talk, let’s just fight. If I win, I’ll have the final say; if you win, you can decide. It will save us all some time,” Duge chuckled.
The trend had increased his attributes, and his divine consciousness could now cover five hundred meters, giving him full clarity of the surroundings. He didn’t need to enter the room and give up his significant advantage.
“Arrogant,” said the Senior Brother standing behind Duge, suddenly drawing his sword, “Leng Shi, I will clear the sect of a traitor like you on behalf of our master.”
As soon as the words were spoken.
He thrust his sword toward Duge’s back.
“Don’t harm the gentleman!” Wu Chang leaped forward to intercept the blade for Duge. The Senior Brother was faster than He Xu; without attributes to support him, his diligent martial arts training over the past days wouldn’t make him a match for the Senior Brother. His only option to demonstrate bravery was to take the blow.
Of course.
He also wanted the person in the room to witness his regenerative capabilities.
Thud!
The Senior Brother’s sword pierced Wu Chang’s shoulder, causing him to pause in surprise. As he attempted to slice sideways to rip open the shoulder,
but just as he moved, Duge had already turned around and thrust his sword toward the Senior Brother’s wrist.
The Senior Brother was forced to retreat, withdrawing the sword that had pierced Wu Chang’s shoulder.
“Wu Chang, truly a brave warrior,” Duge chuckled, standing behind Wu Chang, pushing him forward with one hand, using him completely as a shield. Meanwhile, his longsword thrust from either side of Wu Chang, aiming at the Sect Leader opposite him.
The Sect Leader parried away Duge’s moves with his longsword, his face filled with perplexity as he looked at Duge hiding behind Wu Chang. He didn’t understand what kind of strategy Duge was employing.
Why would he use a country old man as his shield?
An assassin’s swordplay is flexible and varied; having someone block in front could actually be a burden. And, how many strikes could a country old man even withstand?
With a disdainful smile, the Sect Leader was just about to wield his sword to kill Wu Chang first.
Suddenly.
Duge’s voice sounded: “Look at his wound.”
As soon as he spoke,
Duge had already torn off Wu Chang’s shirt, revealing his smooth shoulder.
The Sect Leader was suddenly taken aback: “Heavenly Demon?”
Seizing the moment of his astonishment, Duge had already moved out from behind Wu Chang, thrusting two swords forward, one flicking the Sect Leader’s longsword away, the other stabbing his shoulder: “Sect Leader, no offense.”
After that.
He thrust his sword towards the Sect Leader’s throat.
Just at that moment.
A harsh shout came.
Duge felt the air surrounding him filled with fierce Sword Qi, covering all his angles of evasion.
In Leng Shi’s memory, the master was a top-notch expert of the era, capable of releasing True Qi externally. None of the assassins could survive more than three rounds under the master’s hand.
Even with his attributes enhanced, he couldn’t beat his master without any attack skills at his disposal, at least not without injuring him.
Currently, he was not prepared to reveal his identity as an Alien Warrior.
But it was a different story if his master’s residence was near the water.
The moment he sensed the oncoming Sword Qi,
Duge turned again, using Wu Chang to block the Sword Qi of his master.
Simultaneously, he thrust with his longsword and the water from the creek transformed into numerous water arrows, shooting towards his master who launched at him.
The master had never expected Duge to attack with the aid of water. He hesitated, but his body reacted quickly, swinging his longsword to shatter the water arrows that Duge shot at him.
However, the scattered water arrows still soaked his clothes through.
Old Wu, unconcerned about his drenched clothing, looked at Duge with a scornful smile: “Is this what you rely on? Heavenly Demon? Art Technique?”
“Indeed, this is my reliance,” Duge replied with a smile.
Smiling, Duge spun Wu Chang around, making him face his master again. Standing face to face with an older man made him somewhat uncomfortable.
Wu Chang swallowed hard, hypnotizing himself to be brave. He glared at the old man opposite him, “To harm Mr. He, you’ll have to step over my dead body.”
Old Wu hardly glanced at him but looked past him at Duge: “Senior Brother Leng, you’ve kept your powers well hidden. For over a decade, you managed not to use your Art Technique even once? It’s a pity you’ve learned the Water Series Art, which everyone knows is the weakest… Uh!”
He was cut off mid-sentence.
His voice came to an abrupt halt as his legs clamped together, and he let out a shrill squawk like a drake, his face suddenly flushing red, “You…”
“Water Series being the weakest is only because they don’t know how to use it,” Duge said with a light chuckle. Without any observable movement, all the water in the creek rose into the air, transforming into a massive water dragon that lunged at his master.
Old Wu swung his sword at the Water Dragon; the dragon burst upon contact, then reformed into a large mass of water that wrapped around Old Wu’s face, sealing his mouth and nose.
Thereafter.
In the horrified gaze of Old Wu, it turned into multiple streams of water, drilling into his nostrils and ears.
Old Wu retreated rapidly, using his True Qi to push out the water infiltrating his orifices.
Yet, as soon as he began to act, the water mass around his head crackled and rapidly froze into ice…
As the ice formed,
Duge leaped up, stabbing his master’s arms and legs repeatedly with his longsword, severing the meridians.
No sooner had he severed the meridians than the ice enveloping Old Wu’s head was shattered by True Qi, breaking into pieces on the ground, while Old Wu, heavily injured in both arms and legs, could not stand and stumbled to the ground. With his bottom hitting the ground, he couldn’t help but grunt.
Duge chuckled, the edge of his longsword resting at his master’s throat: “Master, you’ve lost.”
Wu Chang was dumbfounded, casting a resentful look at Duge, thinking to himself how could this be the insignificant Art Technique Duge had mentioned?
